The centenary of the BNR and the anticipated centenary of the BSSR bring the discussion of the foundation of Belarusian statehood to a new level.
What place should these entities occupy in the historical memory of Belarus?
From what
moment can we speak of the beginning of new Belarusian statehood?
To what extent are the history, political experience, and images of the BNR and BSSR complementary or, conversely, incompatible within a single historical narrative?
These questions are to be raised within the framework of the discussion.
