Second International Congress of Belarusian Studies: Call for Working Papers (until 1 January 2013)

Dear colleagues and participants of the Congress,

The Second International Congress of Belarusian Studies, held on 28–30 September this year, became a significant academic event. More than 350 scholars and guests took part in the Congress, representing practically all major cities and academic centres of Belarus, as well as more than 15 countries around the world. Thank you for your participation and contribution to the work of the Congress.

As previously announced, following the Second International Congress of Belarusian Studies, the publication of Working Papers (a collection of participants’ abstracts) is planned.

Texts may be submitted for publication until 1 January 2013. Texts of 5,000–7,000 characters in Belarusian, English, Russian and Polish will be accepted for consideration. More detailed formatting rules are available here:

The Organising Committee also offers the possibility of publishing the results of work presented at the Congress in the form of a completed academic article (35,000–55,000 characters) in the journal “Political Sphere” (the publication is present in a number of international academic libraries, in particular the Central and Eastern European Online Library, and is also abstracted in the International Political Science Association (IPSA) Abstracts) and in other partner publications.
