Second International Congress of Belarusian Studies, 28–30 September 2012: Application Deadline 15 June 2012

The organising committee announces the Second International Congress of Belarusian Studies, which will take place on 28–30 September 2012 in Kaunas, Lithuania.

The Congress is conceived as an annual meeting place for researchers, analysts and experts who work on Belarusian society, politics, culture, history, language and the broader regional context. It brings together academic institutions, expert communities and independent researchers from Belarus and other countries.

Participants may apply with an individual paper, propose a panel or round table, or take part as guests. The Congress also welcomes presentations of academic, cultural, publishing and civic projects, as well as participation by journalists and representatives of the media.

The deadline for submitting applications is 15 June 2012.

The mission of the Congress is to develop the community of scholars, analysts and experts working on Belarus and to promote a deeper understanding of Belarus in academic environments in the country, the region and the world.
