Is a “Maidan” possible in Belarus? An analysis of protest activity in 2013

From January to December 2013, the Political Sphere Institute monitored protest activity in Belarus. The monitoring showed that protest activity in Belarus, compared with Ukraine on the eve of “Maidan 2014” and taking into account the different scale of the two countries, was five times lower (based on the results for the first five months of 2013).
