International PhD Programme for Belarus
The Belarusian Academic and Expert Consortium (BAEC), within the framework of the Flying University programme, announces admission to the International PhD Programme for Belarus.
The Belarusian Academic and Expert Consortium is a broad coalition of Belarusian institutions for sustainable development, the protection of rights, and meeting the needs of Belarus’s expert, academic and teaching communities outside state institutions. The founders of the Consortium are the International Consortium “EuroBelarus”, the Institute of Political Studies “Political Sphere”, and the Belarusian Institute for Strategic Studies.
The coordinator of the International PhD Programme for Belarus is the Institute of Political Studies “Political Sphere”.

The programme is organized on an extramural basis. The doctoral dissertation is written in Belarus; the completed, or substantially completed, text is then submitted for defence in absentia or externally at universities in Lithuania, Poland and other European countries. The choice of university for the dissertation defence is made individually, depending on language preparation, dissertation topic and other parameters.
The programme provides: consultations, technical assistance, academic communication in the form of seminars, connection with a foreign university and representation of the dissertation author’s interests, and compensation of all costs related to the defence, including fees for Belarusian and foreign supervisors, university defence fees, and, where applicable, expenses for travel, accommodation, academic literature and other needs.
