International PhD Programme for Belarus (2013 intake). Applications accepted until 20 October 2013

A consortium of academic and expert institutions announces the third intake for the International PhD Programme for Belarus in the social sciences and humanities.

Members of the Consortium:

• Institute for Political Studies “Political Sphere” (Belarus)
• International Consortium “EuroBelarus” (Belarus)
• Belarusian Collegium (Belarus)
• partner academic institutions and experts from Belarus and abroad.

The programme is intended for young researchers who plan to prepare doctoral dissertations on Belarusian issues or on topics important for the development of Belarusian studies. It is open to applicants working in sociology, political science, history, anthropology, cultural studies, philosophy, economics, law and related fields.

The aim of the programme is to support a new generation of Belarusian researchers and to create conditions for high-quality dissertation work in cooperation with international academic supervisors and research centres.

Participants will receive methodological and academic support, will take part in seminars, consultations and research meetings, and will be able to present and discuss their dissertation projects with specialists from Belarus and other countries.

Applications for the 2013 intake are accepted until 20 October 2013. Applicants should submit a CV, a research proposal, a motivation letter and other materials requested by the organisers.
