Grant for participation in the ASEEES convention

The International Association for the Humanities (IAH) announces a grant competition for participation in the 49th Annual Convention of the Association for Slavic, East European, & Eurasian Studies (ASEEES), which will take place on 9-12 November 2017 in Chicago (USA).

IAH offers 4 grants that will cover the cost of flights and hotel accommodation, as well as per diems for four days of the convention, for two participants from Ukraine and two participants from Belarus.

The application deadline is 15 July 2017.

Applications should be sent electronically to [email protected].

To participate in the competition, applicants must submit the text of the paper they plan to present at the convention.

Confirmation of the application for participation in the convention is also required.

The main theme of this year’s convention is “Transgressions”: the centenary of the Bolshevik Revolution invites scholars to rethink ways of introducing change in society and to reassess cultural, social and political practices intended to lead humanity toward a “bright future”.

More detailed thematic priorities of the congress are available on the convention website.

IAH members will have the opportunity to take part in the association’s meeting in Chicago.

Applications will be selected by members of the IAH Supervisory Board.

The results of the competition will be announced on 30 July 2017.

The grants are provided with the financial support of the International Renaissance Foundation.
