The Organizing Committee of the International Congress of Belarusian Studies announces a call for individual applications to participate in the next IX Congress, which will take place on October 1-3, 2021 in Kaunas (Lithuania).
In 2021, the Congress will work across 12 research areas (panels) (https://airtable.com/shrWIYoVTvvMj0U0E), which include all major social sciences and humanities disciplines: history, international relations and political science, sociology, linguistics, literary studies, and others.
The application deadline is May 17, 2021.
The Congress is the most representative annual academic and expert event in Belarus, bringing together all major intellectual centers engaged in the study of Belarusian society, politics, and culture.
In addition, the Congress provides an excellent opportunity to develop new viable research and public projects, exchange opinions and ideas, and establish informal contacts with representatives of the expert and academic communities of Belarus and other countries.
The mission of the Congress is to develop a community of scholars, analysts, and experts, as well as to promote a deeper understanding of Belarus in academic environments in the country, the region, and the world.
To submit an application by May 17, 2021, it is necessary to complete the ONLINE FORM (https://palityka.wufoo.com/forms/application-form-for-speakers-2021/).
To participate in the Congress as a speaker, applicants must submit an abstract of 2,000-4,000 characters.
A call for applications for guests, journalists, and for organizing presentations of scholarly, cultural, publishing projects, exhibitions, and so on will be announced later.
