Call for Applications for the Position of Project Coordinator. CV Submission Deadline: 10 April 2013

The Political Sphere Institute announces a call for applications for the position of coordinator of research, publishing and educational projects.

The Political Sphere Institute is a professional community of researchers of Belarusian society and politics. The Institute’s mission is the systematic study of Belarusian society and politics, the development of the Belarusian academic and expert community, and the integration of Belarusian scholars, experts and the results of their research into the regional, European and international context. Its priorities are research, publishing, consulting, and academic and educational projects.

The Institute was created on the basis of the community around the journal of the same name, which has been published since 2001. The Institute was founded in 2009 and is registered in Lithuania. www.palityka.org

The Institute’s main academic partner is Vytautas Magnus University (Lithuania).

Conditions and general information:

– work in an academic and research environment;

– flexible working arrangements and independent planning of working time;

– possibility of official employment (with a temporary residence permit in Lithuania);

– possibility of participation in additional projects and programmes (research, publishing and educational).

Requirements:

– motivation to work in the academic or expert sphere; communication skills;

– command of Belarusian and Russian;

– command of English sufficient for reading texts and conducting correspondence;

– ability to travel abroad;

– experience in the academic, analytical or non-governmental sector is welcome;

– completed higher education (preferably a master’s degree);

– ability to be permanently based in Minsk.
