Belarusian State University Turns 90
https://palityka.org/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/bdu.jpgOn 30 October, Belarusian State University marked its ninetieth anniversary.
The staff of the Political Sphere Institute joins in the congratulations.
For a number of members of the Political Sphere community — Andrei Kazakevich, Andrei Yahorau, Yuri Chavusau, Tatsiana Chyzhova, Ales Shamiakin, Natallia Vasilevich — BSU is their alma mater.
It is also important to remember that the professional community of political scientists that later transformed into the editorial board of the Political Sphere journal emerged precisely within the walls of Belarusian State University.
Former students and postgraduate students are now engaged in scholarly, analytical, and publishing work at the national and international levels.
In September this year, through the efforts of the Institute’s staff together with Lithuanian partners, the First International Congress of Belarusian Studies was held at Vytautas Magnus University in Kaunas.
The majority of the Belarusian participants in the Congress were representatives of BSU.
The Political Sphere Institute welcomes this fact and believes that the practice of inter-university dialogue will serve the development of national scholarship.
