The Belarusian-language translation of Michael Urban’s book “Belarusian Soviet Elite (1966–1986): The Algebra of Power” has been published.

On the basis of extensive factual material, the author describes the complex relations among different groups of the Belarusian Soviet elite and shows the results and consequences of political struggle for the development of the BSSR under conditions of rapid industrialization and urbanization.

The publication appeared within the “Belarusian Politics” series founded by the Political Sphere Institute, with the participation of the European Humanities University.
