A winter session for participants in the PhD program was held in Minsk

On February 3-6, 2014, the next winter session for participants in the International PhD Program was held in Minsk, bringing together 15 representatives of the Belarusian academic community.

During the session, the research concepts of the program’s doctoral students and auditors were discussed.

Regular discussions of this kind, as practice shows, help to significantly improve research projects.

In total, 9 presentations were delivered during the session in various fields of the social sciences and humanities (history, political science, ethnography, gender studies, and others).

The vexillological heritage of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth and its transmission in modern times (based on the example of the flag systems of the Belarusian People’s Republic and the Republic of Lithuania).

Policy for the development of small agricultural enterprises in the Republic of Belarus.

Women’s art practices in the cultural space of Belarus: the anthropology of everyday life in the 1990s-2000s.

Comparative analysis of the social characteristics and recruitment methods of regional elites in Belarus, Russia, and Ukraine and the systems of their interaction with central authorities from 1999 to 2013.

The contemporary ethnographic community of Belarus.

The case of the inventory of intangible cultural heritage.
