Deadline extended for nominations for the Congress Prize

We announce the extension, until May 10, of the call for nominations for the Congress Prize for the best scholarly publication in the social sciences and humanities based on the results of 2020.

We invite representatives of the academic community to nominate the best scholarly publications for the Prize and to contribute to popularizing the achievements of Belarusian scholarship and rewarding their authors for their achievements.

Proposals may be submitted to [email protected] until May 10, 2021.

The formal awarding of the prize will take place on October 2, 2021 during the IX International Congress of Belarusian Studies in Kaunas (Lithuania).

Details will be announced later.

The Prize is funded by the Belarusian Charitable Fund (London) and the Kipiel family (USA).

The Prize is announced in three nominations:
– History;
– Humanities;
– Social sciences: political science, sociology.

A separate competition is held for scholarly monographs and articles.

The purpose of the prize is to recognize the best achievements in the social, political, and humanities disciplines, encourage research work, and promote the improvement of the quality of scholarly research.
