In his view, one of the reasons for the escalation at the border may be the approach of winter.

With the arrival of cold weather and worsening conditions, reaching the border, crossing it, and especially living in the open air will become increasingly difficult.

In this case, the migrants may have organized themselves in order to cross the border as soon as possible.

The second reason, if the Belarusian authorities were involved in the process, may be an attempt to put pressure on Western countries ahead of the European Union’s adoption of the fifth sanctions package (https://news.zerkalo.io/economics/4841.html).
