To the Family and Friends of Vital Silitski

Belarusian political science has suffered a great loss. After a severe and prolonged illness, Vital Silitski, Director of the Belarusian Institute for Strategic Studies (BISS) and Doctor of Political Sciences, has passed away.

Vital Silitski’s contribution to the development of political science and the formation of an independent academic community in Belarus was enormous. Vital’s high professionalism in analytical work, experience and knowledge were, and will remain, in demand among expert circles in Belarus and other countries.

All who knew Vital Silitski valued him as a bright personality and respected him for his openness.

The team of the Political Sphere Institute mourns the death of its colleague and expresses condolences to Vital’s family and friends.
