Congress Prize for Best Student Paper established

Prize for the best student paper defended in 2015-2016

The International Congress of Belarusian Studies Prize for the best student papers, established with the support of the European Humanities University and the Belarusian Collegium

The International Congress of Belarusian Studies, the European Humanities University and the Belarusian Collegium announce a competition for the best student paper defended in 2014/2015 and 2015/2016 on Belarusian topics. The prize aims to recognize the achievements of Belarusian students in the social sciences and humanities, support their creative and academic work, and contribute to improving the quality of student written work.

We call on authors, as well as their academic supervisors, to nominate the best student papers and thereby help identify the best student achievements in the social sciences and humanities.

The prize will be awarded in three categories: best master’s thesis, best bachelor’s thesis, and best creative work. Any work defended at a Belarusian university or at the European Humanities University may be nominated. To do so, authors should send the paper and additional information to [email protected]. A detailed description of the rules and requirements is available here.

Submissions are accepted until 20 May 2017. The prize includes a financial award. The award ceremony will take place at the Seventh International Congress of Belarusian Studies, which will be held on 15-17 September 2017.

The decision to award the prize is made on the basis of the conclusion of an expert council composed of representatives of the academic community of Belarus and other countries, through anonymous voting.
